U16 North Sydney Bears 2009 Division I : Coaches – Tim Cameron (Forest); and Ian Knevitt (Willoughby), Assistant / game day -Stephen Skulley (Mosman) Team Manager - Christine Brinsmead (Willoughby); Assistant Manager – David Kwasha (Forest) NSW AFL has combined U15s & U16s into one competition in 2009; with 3 divisions of football to cater for all levels of players. Three clubs in the North Sydney Region (Forest, Mosman & Willoughby) have agreed to form a competitive 1st division team for the new Sydney Harbour U16s competition. A new team has been formed by the 3 clubs to be known as the U16 North Sydney Bears; with their own uniform, team song, coaches etc. (Playing tops provided; shorts and socks to be purchased from the Team Manager). This team will be picked on merit (ability, desire and on-going performance). Players can move back and forwards between Divisions. Players who are more suited to other levels of AFL or would prefer to play in 3rd Division competitions, can join competitive teams under the Willoughby Wildcats colours. In partnership with the Willoughby AFL club; Forest and Mosman AFL Clubs will create a 3rd division team based at Willoughby, that boys can join if they don't make 1st division each week (or don't want to play 1st division). The 1st division side will train from 6pm to 8 pm at Gore Hill Oval on Wednesdays from 25th March. Our aim is to develop all player talent levels with top quality coaching in all divisions; whilst ensuring all teams are very competitive, with strong player numbers week in week out.
